My Thoughts on Plant Therapy

Plant Therapy is a family-run company made up of a small team. The owners wanted to create a company that would sell quality oils at prices people could afford. If I could say one thing about Plant Therapy, it's that their customer service is absolutely fantastic. Below is a quote by Chris Jones who co-owns the company with his wife, Amanda. You can find out more by reading their story.

Amazing Customer Service
I love Plant Therapy. They are transparent and publish GCMS reports on their site because they believe customers have the right to know. Their customer service is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond what I would expect. They're active on social media. On Facebook, they have a group called Safe Essential Oil Recipes and they often have live videos with deals and recipes on their FB fan page.

Prices You Can Afford
If you've been buying essential oils from MLMs, you'll be happily surprised at Plant Therapy's prices. They almost seem to be too good to be true, but they're not. MLMs have high prices due to the fact that there are so many people that need to be paid before the product reaches the customer.

They constantly have sales and deals. I list all the ones I know of on my sales and deals post.  They also have giveaways and contests every once in a while.

They have a couple of major sales a year which leads to further discounts. You can earn reward points on every order. I actually try to only buy during sales, unless I have reward points that I can use. They have FREE shipping on every order! (They just added duty free shipping to Canada too!)  Use this link to get $10 off!

Quality Products

I highly recommend Plant Therapy to your average essential oil user. They have clear information to help you out. In addition to all the information they have about the oil (see screenshot on the left), they also give you a description, directions, links to test results, and a disclaimer. They have singles, synergies, roll-ons, and a KidSafe line that they have developed in collaboration with Robert Tisserand. They also have carrier oils, accessories, body care (lotion, creams, butters, hydrosols, and more) and cases.

I love their oils, their diffusers on the other hand, I would not recommend at all. I have 3 diffusers from Plant Therapy. All of them are made in China and their instruction booklet has simple mistakes in it. The first diffuser I bought was the Moon ultrasonic diffuser. It broke about 3.5 months after I bought it. Mist stopped coming out of it and even thought we tried to troubleshoot it, nothing worked.

I got another one to replace the one that broke. I bought a Kids Safe starter set which came with the Aromafuse diffuser. Thankfully, that diffuser still works. I bought a third diffuser, Pureness aromatherapy diffuser, to replace the Moon diffuser and about 6 weeks after I got it, it started peeling. It still works; it just doesn't look pretty. I cannot fault Plant Therapy's customer service. They were great. They went above and beyond what I had expected. However, the fact remains that the quality just did not cut it. You can read my reviews below to find out more detail.

Ethical Company
They are concerned about the customer's safety and don't tell people that all their oils are safe for children because they're pure. This is not true. Due to their safety concerns, they created a KidSafe line in collaboration with Robert Tisserand, a world-renown aromatherapist. Plant Therapy believes in giving back both locally and globally. You can see what charities they work with as well as what they have done on their page called, Giving Back. They have FREE shipping on every order! (They just added duty free shipping to Canada too.) You can earn reward points on every order. Use this link to get $10 off!

Discount Codes and Sales
There are a couple of discount codes you can use. Below are deals that don't have an expiry date. For more sales, check out my posts on sales and deals. There's a list at the bottom of this post, too.
They have two major sales each year: their Customer Appreciation month in July and their 25 Days of Christmas starting on Black Friday in November. They usually do live videos on their Facebook page announcing what that day's deal is. I personally think their winter sale is much, much better than the summer one.

In the winter during their 25 Days of Christmas Sale, they also do Win One, Give One Wednesdays. You get the chance to win two things: one you keep and one you give to a friend. I also wouldn't bother with the free downloads since they'll be available for free in the future. Be wary of mystery gifts as well. The mystery bags are usually really good, but the mystery gifts have been things like magnets or stuffed essential oil bottles. Lots of people liked them but a lot hated them. Below you can find what the last year's deals were as well as what discount codes you needed to use.
My Wish List
There are a number of items I want from Plant Therapy. In general, I try to avoid synergies with lavender simply because I hate the smell of lavender. Sometimes it's not that strong and that's ok, but usually I can smell it and it just reminds me of little old ladies.
