I'm trying to live a healthier lifestyle and using this blog to post about reviews of products. I'm not affiliated with any MLMs and actively avoid buying from MLMs. My blog focuses on product reviews. I try to find non-MLM products that are safe, healthy, and green. I do not accept payment for reviews or free products from companies, however, I do belong to some affiliate programs. I don't have a background in chemistry or science. I'm trying to sort
through the loads of information online and figure out what products are
good for me. I welcome polite input.

Are natural products really that good?
"Natural" products are all the rage, but unfortunately natural doesn't mean healthy, safe, or green. Our skin is our largest organ and I believe we need to be careful about the products we use. Nature is powerful and can hurt or even kill us. Sadly some natural product companies either leave out necessary ingredients such as preservatives or emulsifiers, or use them and don't list them on the ingredient list. Others neglect to list everything and may bunch items together, for example, they'll put down "blend of essential oils". This lack of information can be dangerous since not all essential oils are safe for everyone.

I'm not rich. And contrary to what some people may believe, I'm only making a couple bucks making much online. I specifically choose products that are affordable. For me, Shea Moisture and Moogoo are affordable. Innersense and Graydon are not, but maybe they will be in the future. They're on my wish list.
Do you get products for free?
Yes, I do! But hear me out: they don't come from companies nor people who work for those companies. There are two ways I get products for free.
I'm all about hand-me-downs and free stuff for myself and my family for a variety of reasons: environmental, financial, and not feeding into materialism are a few. When my friends get products that don't work for them or they're getting rid of stuff (sometimes the products have never been opened), I often ask them if I can get that item. More often than not, they're happy to give it to me rather than throw it out. You do have to be careful about expiry dates and bacteria. Obviously, you wouldn't use something like an open tub of body scrub. I encourage people to ask family and friends if they have anything they don't use. You'd be surprised how many people have stuff just sitting around their house that they don't use.
The second way is sales. Gotta love sales! Many companies have sales around holidays and that's when I stock up. Buy one, get one free. Buy two, get one free. Free gift with X amount purchased.
Do you collaborate with companies?
No, I do not accept products for free nor payment for reviewing products. I feel like this would get in the way of me being able to review a product truthfully.
Why do you avoid MLMs?
There are a number of reasons. I realise that many people make a living through MLMs and they have helped families out financially, but they're not for me. I feel that many items are overpriced since they're helping line the pockets of different tiers of people. I feel like they pressure you into hitting up friends and family to buy overpriced items they don't want nor need. I feel like they prey on specific people, such as stay-at-home-parents. I feel they deceive people into thinking that they can easily achieve financial freedom and make loads of money. I feel like many MLMs are shady as far as business practices go. I feel like quality control is hard because it's just such a massive operation it's impossible to oversee everything, despite what they may tell you. I feel that people selling MLMs may not have the proper education to sell their items, in particular, essential oils. They give out potentially dangerous information and that is not acceptable.
I have friends that use MLMs and that's fine. I have bought MLM products in the past. I even like some of them. However, I just don't feel comfortable buying them anymore
