I've seen people talk about pink salt and how much better it was than regular salt due to all the trace minerals and elements. I understand that there are only trace amounts, but sometimes a little goes a long way. I really don't use that much salt in my food and I was looking for salt for a salt and sugar scrub. I choose this basically because it was a novelty and it's pink. The SF Salt Company says that Himalayan salt has great health benefits and can help re-mineralise your body. Since your skin is your largest organ, maybe some of it would get absorbed and work its magic. Plus, it's pink. You can't beat that.
