MooGoo Eczema Cream (discontinued) Review

Eczema is just horrible, isn't it? I've been told it's due to a gut imbalance. My mom struggled with it for nearly 30 years before going on an elimination diet. It took two years, but she figured out what foods can set it off and it can be really specific foods. For example, if she eats one type of tomatoes, she's fine. But if she eats another, then she gets a flare-up. Nightshades, gluten, dairy, and eggs are supposed to be top irritants for eczema. Forces of Nature Wart Control Extreme Strength (discontinued) Review

My daughter had a plantar wart on the bottom of her foot. We tried freezing it off and that failed miserably. You were supposed to hold it on for 40 seconds and we got to about 2 seconds. Tried ACV (apple cider vinegar) and black tape. Neither worked. The good news was that since at the time she was only 4 years old, her wart wasn't that old either. A friend of mine had suggested looking into Forces of Nature. I checked out their website and decided that it was a bit too expensive, but he insisted that it worked amazingly and that I wouldn't need to buy more than one bottle. I finally caved and bought it. Forces of Nature Eczema Cleanse (Discontinued) Review

My youngest has had some bad eczema. My oldest had a few flare-up, but nothing I do seems to get rid of the baby's. I know it's environmental and either from the bad air, mold, or water where we live because when we go on vacation, it clears up. I had bought this soap for my oldest but barely used it. It came in a pack of three and I gave 2 soaps to my mom. However, they have discontinued this soap, along with a number of their products. I'm not sure if it's due to a crack down from the FDA (due to the claims it was making it would mean it's an unapproved drug) or if their product just wasn't selling. I have tried a number of different eczema treatments but hadn't had any luck, so decided to try this soap. Although it was old, soap simply dries out and get harder with age, meaning that it lasts longer. Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Co-Wash Conditioning Cleanser Review

My hair is about to the middle of my back. I have 2B, low-porosity, protein-sensitive hair. My hair is medium thickness and low density. I'm of European descent and I have dark virgin hair. I have a handful of Shea Moisture hair products and they don't seem to work well on my hair. Some people have said that if you have wavy hair and/or low porosity hair, that you should try co-washing. Since my hair is both wavy and low porosity and I got this for free, I thought I'd give it a show. About Shea Moisture: On my page about Shea Moisture , you can read more about their company and read my product reviews. I have reviewed other companies and their products as well and you can find those on my complete list . I got this for free: One of my friends has a gluten allergy and didn't see that it had wheat when she bought it so she passed it on to me. Caribbean Cacao Cocoa Butter Review

I had bought shea butter and mango butter from Better Shea Butter and decided that I should get some cocoa butter as well. I have a love-hate relationship with cocoa butter. It's hard, which is great in the summer, but really makes body butters hard to use in the summer. It smells like chocolate, which I personally love and it makes me want to eat it, but I know that some people don't like slathering chocolate smelling butter on themselves. Instead of buying cocoa butter from Better Shea Butter , I decided to see what other companies were out there and I found Caribbean Cocoa on Amazon. With high ratings and over 2,000, I figured I should try it. About Caribbean Cacao:  On my page about Caribbean Cacao , you can read more about their company and see all my product reviews. Appalachian Valley Natural Products Geranium Rose Essential Oil Review

I was looking for something to help with scarring and someone recommended geranium rose. I didn't know anything about this oil when I bought a sample. I knew it would have a floral scent, but didn't really know what it was used for. Since AVAT's samples are so affordable, I decided to just get it. Redmond Earthpaste 4 Pack (Lemon, Wintergreen, Cinnamon, Peppermint) Review

Earthpaste, has an interesting ring to it. Basically, it's clay with a few other ingredients. Doesn't taste fantastic and it doesn't lather either like regular toothpaste. I came upon it after spending lots of time researching and it seemed like a good product. I do have a few questions about it though and I'll talk about those later on. There's a lot of junk in toothpaste that I was trying to avoid. I feel like I have better things to do with my life than find a good toothpaste. I found Redmond Earthpaste and found good reviews and was so sick of looking for toothpaste that I got it. Since I was on a MooGoo kick and loved their company and their products, I decided to get their toothpaste as well. You can read my review here . Here are the ingredients I was trying to avoid. Artificial dyes : do you really need blue stripes in your toothpaste? Artificial sweetners : use natural ones.  Carrageenan : I know that some people use it, but it can cause GI issu...

Appalachian Valley Natural Products Frankincense Sacra Essential Oil Review

Ah, frankincense. A precious oil and resin coveted throughout the years. That's about all I knew about it, besides the Three Wise Men bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh. I didn't even know what it smelled like. AVAT recently had a sale and I was trying to get my cart to $35 so I could get free shipping. I decided to add 4 out of 5 of their frankincense essential oils. Now, frankincense is one of those oils that I really don't want to try and that's because it's semi-expensive. The majority of the oils I have are citrus and very affordable. I don't like to diffuse expensive oils because I feel like it's a waste of money; I'd rather use them topically. Part of me hopes that when I try samples of precious oils, that I won't like them so that I don't have to spend the money on them since I'm cheap. Happily, AVAT does have pretty affordable prices compared to other companies and that's one reason that I tried it. I figured I...

NOW Foods Almond Oil Review

Years ago I used to have very long hair and I would oil the ends of my hair and give myself scalp massages with oil every day. About once a week I would do hot oil treatments. Since then, I've learned that oils don't work so well on my hair, however, I still use carrier oils in order to dilute essential oils and to make my own body butter. Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines for essential oils. Click on the button that says "download dilution chart". I love almond-scented products. I used sweet almond oil on my hair and was disappointed that it didn't smell like marzipan. This oil is just almond oil, however, from what I can tell, it's the same as sweet almond oil, not to be confused with bitter almond oil which is an essential oil. About NOW Foods: On my page about NOW Foods , you can read more about their company and read my product reviews. Shea Moisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Leave-In Detangler Review

My hair is about to the middle of my back. I have 2B, low-porosity, protein-sensitive hair. My hair is medium thickness and low density. I'm of European descent and I have dark virgin hair. I have a handful of Shea Moisture hair products and they don't seem to work well on my hair. I finally figured out that my hair doesn't like coconut oil since it's drying for me, nor does it like shea butter. However, I am using up what I have before I get more products. After hearing so much about their low porosity line, I decided buy both the conditioner and the leave-in conditioner. I figured I could use it every now and then while I was using up the products that didn't work for me. About Shea Moisture: On my page about Shea Moisture , you can read more about their company and read my product reviews. I have reviewed other companies and their products as well and you can find those on my complete list . YouTube: Watch my review and be sure to subscribe to m...
