Forces of Nature Wart Control Extreme Strength (discontinued) Review

My daughter had a plantar wart on the bottom of her foot. We tried freezing it off and that failed miserably. You were supposed to hold it on for 40 seconds and we got to about 2 seconds. Tried ACV (apple cider vinegar) and black tape. Neither worked. The good news was that since at the time she was only 4 years old, her wart wasn't that old either. A friend of mine had suggested looking into Forces of Nature. I checked out their website and decided that it was a bit too expensive, but he insisted that it worked amazingly and that I wouldn't need to buy more than one bottle. I finally caved and bought it.

I put it on her at night right after she took a bath and before she went to bed. The next night she took a bath and while she was filing at it, it just came off, leaving a crater behind. It was painless and the effectiveness of the product made me want to try more of their products. I used it once and once only. I think that might have been my mistake. I probably should have kept using it for a few days to make sure all the roots were really gone.

Fast forward about a year later and she had more plantar wart, much smaller than the original one that she had. I tried the same treatment and it didn't work. I tried a few times and nothing happened. I'm not sure if her body just got used to the medicine or that it went bad or something else happened. Either way, it worked once and I'm happy for that, I just wish it would work again.

Forces of Nature is a homeopathic company. So with keeping that in mind, there are some extra things that you need to keep in mind when using homeopathy compared to orthodox medicine. I'm really not going to get into the medical side of things, but somethings that I encourage you to research on your own are foods and drinks that you shouldn't take while on homeopathy as well as certain essential oils that you should avoid. Some people say that avoiding certain things is only for when you take homeopathy internally and others say you need to avoid these things even when using homeopathy externally. Anyways, on to my review!

Ingredients
They say that it has therapeutic-grade super herbs, essential oils, and homeopathics. On their Extra Strength Wart Control, it does say that it's FDA approved, however here it says that it has not been evaluated by the FDA for safety or efficacy. FDA is not aware of scientific evidence to support homeopathy as effective. What exactly does this mean? It says that they are registered homeopathic medicines with the FDA but the FDA doesn't say that their products actually work.

I like that the ingredient list contains the Latin name, common name, and explains what it's for. They've divided the ingredient list into two sections: active and inactive.

Smell and Texture
It has a slight medicinal smell. It also has lavender, which I hate. If you're planning on using this oil on kids, I would definitely look up each essential oil. Cedarwood is safe for kids, but cedar leaf is not the same. It's thuja occidentalis and used in homeopathy more than aromatherapy and you should not use it on kids under 2. Most aromatherapists do not recommend using clove on kids younger than 2. Another concern is thyme oil, which can be a potential skin irritant.

Size, Price, and Packaging
They had two sizes: 5ml and 11ml both of which were Euro droppers; I got the 11ml size. Now that this product is no longer available, you can get the Wart Control Extra Strength in a 4ml roller ball or an 11ml Euro dropper. The price is pretty affordable considering all the ingredients.

Would I Get This Again?
No, I would not because it's no longer available. I might try the Extra Strength version though and see if that worked. I would get the 11ml Euro dropper rather than the 4ml roller ball.

Safety
Please look up each essential oil and see if it is contradictory for the person you are going to use it on as medicines or a medical condition can be an issue. I would also double check the homeopathic medicines to make sure they suit that person as well. This is not just a cream; it is a medicine and proper care must be taken before applying it.

Patch test before using.
