Plant Therapy AromaFuse Diffuser Review

This was the second diffuser I bought from Plant Therapy. I wanted one that had an intermittent option on it. It actually was part of a set but you can also buy it individually. I wish this also had a high and low mist option on it, but the intermittent option was something that was non-negotiable for me. When I bought this, my first diffuser, the Moon diffuser, from Plant Therapy was still working. However, it broke shortly afterwards. I also bought a Pureness diffuser (which still works but is peeling) and you can click on those links and read about my reviews for each of those diffusers.

Size, Price, and Packaging
http://bit.ly/2K7wF1ZThere are three plastic parts to the diffuser. There's the base with a container for up to 380ml of water, a splash guard, and the top. There's also a cord that comes with to plug it in. It came with a very simple instruction manual in English and traditional Chinese. The English had mistakes and even somethings were translated incorrectly (thank you Google Translate for helping me out). It's white and the base has a yellow light on the top part. I got this as part of a set so I felt like I got a good deal. Use this link to get $10 off!

There are five settings:
  1. On (Continuous)
  2. 2 hour continuous
  3. 15 seconds on, 30 seconds off
  4. 15 minutes on, 30 minutes off
  5. 30 minutes on, 30 minutes off
The light can be turned on, dimmed, or turned off. You can also use it as a light without having it diffuse. You'd just push mist six times and then push the light either once (for high) or twice (for dim). The light automatically turns on when you start diffusing. If you push it once, it dims. Push it one more time and it goes off. More details about size and coverage can be found below.

I personally wouldn't use the first two settings of continuous and 2 hours simply due to sensitization. I suppose if you could remember to turn the diffuser off, then continuous would be ok. For example, if you only wanted 15 or 30 minutes and then wanted to turn it off, then it would work. Knowing me, I'd forget and the diffuser would keep running.

This diffuser has a one year limited warranty. The Moon diffuser only had 90 days and the Pureness diffuser doesn't even have any information listed about the warranty.

I've learned that 380 ml is a lot of water. That allows for 10 hours of continuous diffusion and double or triple that on intermittent diffusion depending on which setting it is. In order to not waste oil, I would recommend not filling it all the way. The amount of water corresponds to how long the diffuser runs, not how many square feet or square meters it covers.

Would I Get This Again?
I have mixed thoughts about buying a diffuser from Plant Therapy again. One broke, the other started peeling, and one works fine. That's a 66.7% failure rate. While I like their oils and love their KidSafe line takes the guess work out of making sure you have safe oils for kids, but I'll stick with their oils and buy diffusers elsewhere.

Random Thoughts
No company is perfect. Plant Therapy has great oils and great customer service. I definitely recommend checking them out. Their diffusers on the other hand, need to be sourced from a different company. Until then I will check out ones on Amazon
or Diffuser World
