Plant Therapy Immune Boom KidSafe Essential Oil Synergy Blend Review

I knew that I wanted to use essential oils with my kids and Plant Therapy takes the guesswork out of what's safe and what's not safe since they have a KidSafe line. I got this oil as part of a set with the AromaFuse Diffuser. They have an organic version and a roller ball version as well. Smell, Use, and Viscosity

This has six ingredients: lemon, palmarosa, dill weed, petitgrain, copaiba balsam (which is listed as copaiba oleoresin), and frankincense carteri.

1. My daughter loves lemon. I also like it since I like most citrus. Lemon can help lift your mood and energize you. It's good for cleaning, improving your immune system, and clearing the air.
2. I have the palmarosa from Edens Garden and I like that. You can read my review of palmarosa from Edens Garden; I liked the oil and think it smells a bit like lemon and honey. 
3. I've never smelled dill weed on its own. I have the spice and it reminds me of tzatziki, a Greek sauce I love. Dill is good when you have stomach issues. It also helps boost your immune system and can help with menstrual issues. It's known to help create calm.
4. I haven't smelled petitgrain. It's supposed to be woodsy with a bit of a floral smell to it. I'm not really a fan of woodsy, earthy smells. Its scent is uplifting and energizing. Topically, it can help with blemishes and oily skin. It can also help with stomachaches. 
5. Copaiba balsam is supposed to be light, sweet, and with a creamy-woody scent. I'm not so sure I would like that. I don't really like woody scents in general, but Plant Therapy says that many people love it. It is said to help with muscle pain. It's a warming oil.
6. I love franks in general. Frankincense carteri is a precious oil and I've gotten a handful of samples from AVAT of different franks (frankincense), which I cherish and am almost afraid to use; I love the smell of it. I really should learn how to use them more. I have added some drops to rosehip oil and argan oil and used that as a facial moisturizer. Frankincense is known to help with aging and is said to support your immune system. It can also be used in times of sadness.

I can't really describe what this smells like. I can smell the dill weed and the lemon in it. It smells a bit medicinal to me. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. I'm not exactly in love with the smell, but I like what it's supposed to do so I'll be keeping it and using it every now and then. This is similar to the Germ Destroyer in that it's supposed to help your immune system. Here's the difference:

• Immune Boom is supposed to be used when you're healthy as a boost to your immune system.  
• Germ Destroyer is supposed to be used when you're sick to help you get over your illness faster. 

I see Immune Boom as being similar to elderberries, something you're supposed to use when you're well so that your immune system stays strong.

It is pretty thin, but it's not going to run out of the bottle.

Size, Price, and Packaging

I got a 10ml bottle and it is priced pretty fairly. As I mentioned before, I got this as part of a set with the AromaFuse Diffuser, but you can also buy it here. They have an organic version and a roller ball version as well. Since this does have citrus oils in it, I wish I would have bought the organic version. You can use this link to get $10 off! The packaging is standard. It comes with an orifice reducer or Euro dropper. The oil is thin so it can come out quickly, but the orifice isn't too large that the oil just runs out.

Would I Get This Again?

Yes, I probably would. I don't really like the smell of it, but if it will help keep my kids from getting sick, then I'll use it every now and then.

Safety

The shelf life is about 1-2 years. I keep all mine in the fridge to help extend their shelf-life.

Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines. Click on the button that says "download dilution chart". Do not use undiluted. Patch test before using. Check the max dilution on the label. If pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor's care, please contact your caregiver first. Do not use internally unless directed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Follow safe essential oil usage; not all people or pets should be exposed to essential oils.
