Plant Therapy Grapefruit Pink Essential Oil Review

Everyone has a few favorite oils. My daughter absolutely loves lemon. This was one of the first essential oils I bought. I knew that I like citrus and decided to try it. I was definitely not disappointed: it's a happy, uplifting oil.

I want to try to buy organic citrus oils due to the information in this post. There are exceptions and that is when they are not cold pressed. I don't mind buying non-organic for other oils. I didn't find out this information before I bought this, so I bought the regular, non-organic one. Plant Therapy does have an organic version if you're interested in that.

Like Edens Garden's OK for Kids, Plant Therapy has a line for kids. This product is a part of this line meant for kids aged 2 and up. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off.

There are 3 grapefruits: red, pink, and white. I've never tried the red one but I have tried the white one from AVAT. It's a bit more tart smelling than the pink one. I really like the pink one. I find it to be happy and uplifting. It's great for a dreary or rainy day.

Smell, Use, and Viscosity
When I think of grapefruit, I think of something that is healthy, but I'd have to plug my nose to eat because it's so sour. Grapefruit reminds me of mouth-puckering, sour fruit. I don't like the actual fruit. I know that it's supposed to be high in Vitamin C, but for me to eat it, I'd have to dump a bunch of sugar on it, which would probably defeat the purpose. Pink grapefruit juice is better, but a bit sour. In my opinion, the essential oil is much sweeter smelling.

They say you can use it to lighten mental fatigue. It's also supposed to help with oily and blemish-prone skin. You can add it to a carrier oil and use it as a toner.

It is light and tends to dissipate quickly. It's a thin oil, so be careful not to use more than you intend to.

Size, Price, and Packaging
I got a 10ml bottle and it is priced pretty fairly. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off. The packaging is standard. It comes with an orifice reducer or Euro dropper. The oil is thin so it can come out quickly, but the orifice isn't too large that the oil just runs out.

Would I Get This Again?
Yes, I would get this again. The only thing I would change is possibly getting a larger size and decanting it into smaller bottles. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off.

Random Thoughts
I think the name grapefruit pink sounds weird (pink grapefruit sounds better to me) but I think they're doing that so that when people are searching down the list in alphabetical order they can see both the lemons next to each other.

Safety
The shelf life is about 1-2 years. I keep all mine in the fridge to help extend their shelf-life.
