Plant Therapy Orange Sweet Organic Essential Oil Review

I had orange sweet already but was trying to get organic citruses. I joined a handful of BST (buy / sell / trade) groups for non-MLM essential oils. Here are some good Facebook groups to buy, sell, and trade non-MLM essential oils. Let me tell you, it's addicting and easy to get carried away. The thing you have to remember is that while somethings may seem like they're a good deal, you often have to pay for shipping and that can be an extra $3.50 or so. I got this oil from one of those groups.

Both my daughter and I love citrus oils. We have lemon organic and lime steam distilled and I wanted to try something that wasn't as sharp or tart. My daughter would be happy with lemon, all day, every day, but I am careful to switch up the oils I use in order to avoid sensitization. I'm happy that orange sweet organic is one of their KidSafe oils as well.

http://bit.ly/2K7wF1ZBuying Direct vs. BST Groups
Many companies like Edens Garden and Plant Therapy offer free shipping plus they have loyalty programs, so it might be better to buy direct. With that being said, you can find some good deals and if you're looking to trade oils, these groups can be amazing. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off.

Is Organic Better?
Plant Therapy has a regular, non-organic orange sweet as well. I have the regular one as well. Here is my review of that one. There seem to be different thoughts about it. I've put more info about it in this post. Due to how I've interpreted the information, I'm going to try to buy organic citrus oils but will buy non-organic for other oils that are not citrus. There are exceptions and that is when they are not cold pressed.

Product Details
This is from Mexico and Italy whereas their regular, non-organic orange sweet is from Brazil and the USA. Like Edens Garden's OK for Kids, Plant Therapy has a line for kids. This product is a part of this line meant for kids aged 2 and up. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off.

Smell, Use, and Viscosity
It smells like fresh squeezed orange to me. It smells good enough to eat, so be careful around kids. I let the baby smell it and she opened her mouth like she wanted to take a bite out of the bottle. It says it's knowing for it's uplifting and calming scent and it's like opening a bottle of happiness.

Orange Sweet is said to help with nervous tension, apprehension, or sadness. It can also brighten and freshen the air.

It's a thin oil so be careful about having too many drops come out.

Size, Price, and Packaging
I got a 10ml bottle and it is priced pretty fairly. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off. The packaging is standard. It comes with an orifice reducer or Euro dropper. The oil is thin so it can come out quickly, but the orifice isn't too large that the oil just runs out.

Would I Get This Again?
Yes, I would get this again. The only thing I would change is possibly getting a larger size and decanting it into smaller bottles. You can buy it here or from Plant Therapy and get $10 off.

Random Thoughts
I think the name Orange Sweet Organic sounds weird (Organic Sweet Orange sounds better to me) but I think they're doing that so that when people are searching down the list in alphabetical order they can see both the lemons next to each other.

Safety
Citrus oils usually last for about a year or so. I keep all mine in the fridge to help extend their shelf-life.

Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines. Click on the button that says "download dilution chart". Do not use undiluted. Patch test before using. Check the max dilution on the label. If pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor's care, please contact your caregiver first. Do not use internally unless directed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Follow safe essential oil usage; not all people or pets should be exposed to essential oils.
