NOW Foods Almond Oil Review

Years ago I used to have very long hair and I would oil the ends of my hair and give myself scalp massages with oil every day. About once a week I would do hot oil treatments. Since then, I've learned that oils don't work so well on my hair, however, I still use carrier oils in order to dilute essential oils and to make my own body butter. Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines for essential oils. Click on the button that says "download dilution chart". I love almond-scented products. I used sweet almond oil on my hair and was disappointed that it didn't smell like marzipan. This oil is just almond oil, however, from what I can tell, it's the same as sweet almond oil, not to be confused with bitter almond oil which is an essential oil. Appalachian Valley Natural Products Frankincense Carterii Essential Oil Review

Ah, frankincense. A precious oil and resin coveted throughout the years. That's about all I knew about it, besides the Three Wise Men bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh. I didn't even know what it smelled like. AVAT recently had a sale and I was trying to get my cart to $35 so I could get free shipping. I decided to add 4 out of 5 of their frankincense essential oils. Now, frankincense is one of those oils that I really don't want to try and that's because it's semi-expensive. The majority of the oils I have are citrus and very affordable. I don't like to diffuse expensive oils because I feel like it's a waste of money; I'd rather use them topically. Part of me hopes that when I try samples of precious oils, that I won't like them so that I don't have to spend the money on them since I'm cheap. Happily, AVAT does have pretty affordable prices compared to other companies and that's one reason that I tried it. I figured I could swing ...

NOW Foods Castor Oil Review

It's thick and sticky. I know that some people actually take a spoonful in order to keep them regular, which kind of grosses me out. However, it has a lot of uses in holistic and alternative medicine, so I figure it should be a staple in my cabinet. My Thoughts on NOW Foods

I had heard of NOW Foods, but I didn't really know much about them. I was looking to buy some carrier oils off Amazon and that can be a nightmare. There are just so many fake reviews and bad products. You really have to sort through it all. I knew that NOW had a good reputation, so I bought some things from them.  Disclaimer: Per FTC regulations, I am disclosing that I use affiliate links. They focus on healthy product and have supplement, beauty & health, essential oils, sports nutrition, natural foods, and pet health. I've only bought their carrier oils, but have family members who have also tried their essential oils. Customer Service I haven't had any interaction with their custom...

MooGoo Natural Cream Conditioner Review

I heard about this conditioner in a Curly Girl Facebook group. I am all for making large purchases once or twice a year. You can capitalize on discounts and reduce your carbon footprint. I ordered this along with a handful of other MooGoo products. With only a few ingredients, it looked safe enough to use on my kids in case I didn't like it. Although it has fragrance, it is phthlate-free. They state that they used to use essential oils but stopped due to not everyone being able to use them. (Take note, Shea Moisture, either state what essential oil you use or figure out another way to add scent besides using essential oils). MooGoo breaks down their ingredients one by one, which is nice, since you know what the purpose of each one is for.  About MooGoo: On my page about MooGoo , you can read more about their company and read my product reviews. I have reviewed other companies and their products as well and you can find those on my complete list . ***Discount Code*** If i...

Shea Moisture Baobab & Tea Tree Oils Low Porosity Protein-Free Leave-In Detangler Review

My hair is about to the middle of my back. I have 2B, low-porosity, protein-sensitive hair. My hair is medium thickness and low density. I'm of European descent and I have dark virgin hair. I have a handful of Shea Moisture hair products and they don't seem to work well on my hair. I finally figured out that my hair doesn't like coconut oil since it's drying for me, nor does it like shea butter. However, I am using up what I have before I get more products. After hearing so much about their low porosity line, I decided buy both the conditioner and the leave-in conditioner. I figured I could use it every now and then while I was using up the products that didn't work for me. About Shea Moisture: On my page about Shea Moisture , you can read more about their company and read my product reviews. I have reviewed other companies and their products as well and you can find those on my complete list . YouTube: Watch my review and be sure to subscribe to m...
