My Thoughts on Green Goo

Green Goo by Sierra Sage is women-owned and family operated. Their products are made in the USA with 100% natural herbs and oils. The source their ingredients from organic farmers and infuse them in oils. Their focus on social and ethical responsibility has earned them a B Corporation certification. They partner with various organizations both locally and globally to product natural first aid products. They also donate a portion of their profits to charity. You can read more about it here.

I've also seen them called Sierra Sage / Green Goo and Green Goo by Sierra Sage Herbs. The latter is an additional Facebook page besides their normal Green Goo Helps one. I'm not sure why they have two Facebook pages.

Customer Service
I have not had any dealing with their customer service. However, the fact that it is family owned and operated makes me believe that they focus on the customer and relationships.

Prices are a Bit of a Splurge
Honestly speaking, their prices are a little expensive, however, that's due to the ingredients. They have a lot of products that I'd love to buy on an on-going basis, but for now, they're going to have to be for special occasions or desperate measures. The latter (my daughter's persistent dry skin) made me shell out the cash. They have sales and discount codes that you can find at the end of this post.

I found out about Green Goo because my local store had starting stocking some of their items. They had the dry skin and baby balm available. I was trying to figure out which one to buy when my daughter dropped the dry skin one and broke the top. Problem solved: I'd buy that one.

Their packaging is very simple. I'm honestly not a fan of tins and jars due to contamination, but the alternative is plastic tubes. With plastic tubes, you have plastic instead of glass or metal and you can't get all of the product out unless you cut the tube. Their tops for their jars break pretty easily. I've dropped tons of jars over the years and have never had tops break. I think it might be due to the type of plastic they used. It's hard plastic and is now cracking as well.

They do have an extensive variety of products for a small company. They have bath and body, butters, mama and baby, animal care, first aid, skin care, and accessories. You can see what they have to offer here.  Many of their products are salve and butter based but they do have other items like herbal sitz baths for postpartum care, body scrubs, bar soap, hand soap, face wash, bug spray, tattoo care, deodorant, and even lube. If you're looking to try a whole bunch of their products, they have a nifty sample box.

Quality Products
Their quality is really good. They choose quality ingredients and don't take short-cuts. Their ingredients are organic and they infuse the oils themselves with fresh and dry herbs rather than buy pre-made extracts.

Ethics
Their products use organic ingredients. I also like the fact that they are a small, family owned and operated company. I really like the fact that the source their ingredients from organic farmers. Giving back to the community via donations of goods and money is also nice to see.

My Reviews
Below are Green Goo products that I have reviewed. I have reviewed other companies and their products as well and you can find those on my complete list.
Discount Codes and Sales
They occasionally offer sales and deals throughout the year. The best thing to do would be to sign up for their newsletter to find out about them. I write about all the sales and deals that I know of. Here is the label for all the past sales and deals. You can also find a list at the bottom of this post.
