My hair is about to the middle of my back. I have 2B, low-porosity,
protein-sensitive hair. My hair is medium thickness and low density. I'm
of European descent and I have dark virgin hair.

I had heard rave reviews about Shea Moisture's Raw Shea line, however, I should have compared my hair to the the people who were raving about it. I have low density and low porosity hair. My hair just can't handle heavier products; it gets weighed down. However, I ended up getting the detangler, conditioner, and masque.
This conditioner is for dry, damaged hair. My hair is not damaged; I have virgin hair. However, I do have low porosity hair that is hard to moisturise.
This issue I have with the label is the mystery behind the essential oil blend. I really wish companies would get in the habit of listing exactly which essential oils, absolutes, oleoresins, or extracts they used. People have allergies or don't like certain scents. I know that scent is proprietary, however, they really need to think of people's needs.
Of the three products I bought from this line, detangler, conditioner, and masque, I didn't think that I would have an issue with the conditioner since it's left on my hair for the least amount of time. However, this is just way too heavy for my hair. The more I add while I am co-washing my hair, the stiffer my hair feels. I kept adding more and more conditioner in hopes of getting that wet, seaweed feeling, but it was just getting worse and worse. I know that coconut oil makes my hair dry and stiff and I'm starting to think I need to avoid all products that have it.
This doesn't have a strong scent at all. It smells a bit earthy like shea butter.
This would be perfect for hair that can handle thicker products.
I'm honestly not really sure what I will use this for because even as a conditioner (which sits on my hair for the least amount of time), it's just too much for my hair. More likely than not I will try it on my daughter's hair and see if it works for her.

Ingredients
This has more shea butter than coconut oil. It also has avocado oil. This does have glycerin (a humectant), which can cause frizz during high and low dews. I'm still trying to figure out humectants, dew points, and how they work together with low porosity hair. This issue I have with the label is the mystery behind the essential oil blend. Size, Price, and Packaging
I'm very glad I got the smaller 8 oz. It was priced pretty fairly. It's in a bottle with a press-top.
Would I Get This Again?
No. My hair really doesn't like this product. It just makes my hair stiff. I know that many people love this product from the rave reviews I've heard. I'm on the fence about how Shea Moisture claims that no
ingredients have changed. Perhaps the ingredients are the same but the
sources are different. I'm not sure. If you're
interested, you can buy it here or from Naturally Curly.
