Appalachian Valley Natural Products Frosted Glass Bottle with Spray Cap Review

I had a decent collection of essential oils but didn't really know what to do with them. I knew that I wanted to start using them more than just diffusing them. I love perfume and rather than buy full bottles, would get a few samples from Lucky Scent each year. They'd last a long time and it allowed me to sample expensive perfumes at a fraction of the price. However, I knew that "fragrance" is a catch-all for thousands of different ingredients and you really didn't know what you were putting on your skin. In an effort to be healthier, I wanted to move away from perfume and create my own natural fragrances at home using essential oils, carrier oils, and perfumer's alcohol or Everclear alcohol. I had already made a few roller balls and wanted to create a spray fragrance. Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines when you create your own products.

Product Details
This is a 1oz (30ml) frosted glass spray bottle. Since it is a clear bottle with only a frosted finish, it doesn't keep out the light as much as an amber, miron violet, or cobalt blue bottle would. I know that some plastics are ok to use when you are using diluted essential oils, but I prefer glass most of the time. Inside the shower is totally different. I have broken glass containers in the shower and now either use plastic or have my product in a glass bottle and transfer a small amount of it to a plastic container for use in the shower.

Size and Price
Considering that many of the oils I get from AVAT cost $5 for 20ml and this bottle is $2.25 for an empty 30ml bottle, I thought that it was a little bit more than I expected. After I bought it, I found out that I could have gotten it cheaper from Got Oil Supplies (GOS). They have an amber or clear glass 1oz bottle for 65 cents. However, since I was already placing an order with AVAT and I hadn't found out about GOS and I needed to add somethings to my AVAT order in order to get free shipping (you get free shipping if you spend at least $35), I simply decided to add it to my order.

I do kind of regret it. I probably should have gotten some samples from AVAT instead of paying 3 times more for a bottle that I could have gotten from GOS. On the other hand, I am kind of glad I bought it, since it's a frosted bottle and GOS doesn't have that option.

Would I Get This Again?
No, I wouldn't. I can find similar glass spray bottles at GOS for much cheaper. Now that I know about GOS, I will be comparing their prices to other accessories and supplies that I find. The only exception is if I didn't need anything from GOS and I needed to add something to my order from AVAT, for example, in order to get free shipping. I've started making my GOS shopping list and will be placing an order soon. If it's something that you think you would like to try, you can buy it here.
