Forces of Nature Eczema Control Review

My daughter has had a few eczema flare-ups in her life. Luckily, she hasn't had very many, but when she does, all she wants to do is scratch it until it bleeds and that just exaggerates the healing process. I bought the Extreme Strength Wart Remover from Forces of Nature. I put it on at night. The next night she took a bath and while she was filing at it, it just came off, leaving a crater behind.

It was painless and the effectiveness of it made me want to try more of their products. I have tried a number of different eczema treatments but hadn't had any luck. I bought both their eczema products: the soap and the dropper medicine. They don't sell the soap anymore, so this review will be about the dropper medicine. Thankfully, they have changed the packaging and they give you two options: the old dropper version or the new Euro dropper version. I prefer the newer version and I'll tell you why in the review below.

Forces of Nature is a homeopathic company. So with keeping that in mind, there are some extra things that you need to keep in mind when using homeopathy compared to orthodox medicine. I'm really not going to get into the medical side of things, but somethings that I encourage you to research on your own are foods and drinks that you shouldn't take while on homeopathy as well as certain essential oils that you should avoid. Some people say that avoiding certain things is only for when you take homeopathy internally and others say you need to avoid these things even when using homeopathy externally. Anyways, on to my review!

Ingredients
I like that the ingredient list contains the Latin name, common name, and explains what it's for. They've divided the ingredient list into two sections: active and inactive.

Smell and Texture
It has a slight medicinal smell to it due to the essential oils. It also has lavender, which I hate. If you're planning on using this oil on kids, I would definitely look up each essential oil, in particular: rosemary essential oil. Most aromatherapists do not recommend using it on kids younger than 10. That goes for external use and diffusing. My daughter was 4-5 when I used this and that was before I knew what I know now.

It's an oil so be prepared to let the area you use it on breathe and soak up the oil. I use it at night time and it does get on the sheets.

Size, Price, and Packaging
They have two sizes: 5ml and 11ml; I got the 11ml size. When I bought this, they only had the old dropper version and now they have the new Euro dropper version. I prefer the newer version for two reasons.
  1. It's less likely to spill. I knocked over the dropper bottle while trying to balance a crying baby and put the medicine on my other daughter.
  2. These essential oils eat through the rubber dropper. This means that the rubber gets into the oil and the dropper gets all gross and sticky. It's not a good situation.
The price is pretty affordable considering all the ingredients.

Would I Get This Again?
No, I would not. I was very put off by the fact that a company that has been around for so long was using rubber droppers when their oils had essential oils added to them. I felt like they should know better than this. Second of all, rosemary is NOT safe for children under the age of 10. My daughter didn't have a reaction. Granted, I didn't use it that much since I don't like applying oils via rubber droppers and the fact that it's an oil means that you have to wait a while before it soaks into the skin. I feel like a decent amount got wasted because it would rub off on her sheets.

However, they have now changed the packaging. I know that adults suffer from eczema as well, so this remedy might help them. Also, some people prefer oils over creams. If this is something you would like to try, here is the dropper version and here is the Euro dropper version.

Safety
Please look up each essential oil and see if it is contradictory for the person you are going to use it on. In particular, here's info on rosemary oil and kids under 10. I would also double check the homeopathic medicines to make sure they suit that person as well. This is not just a cream; it is a medicine and proper care must be taken before applying it.

Patch test before using.
