Edens Garden Anxiety Ease Synergy Blend Essential Oil Review

I was given this oil (along with a handful of other Edens Garden essential oils) by someone who was moving. At first glance of the bottle, I didn't think I would like it. I don't really feel anxious, I do feel stressed though. I also just wasn't drawn to the label. It's brown which makes me think of earthy smells. I'm not a fan of earthy smells; I like citrus. However, I got it for free, so I figured I'd try it.

Product Details
You can buy it here. Like Plant Therapy (get $10 off), Edens Garden also has a kids line called, OK for Kids. This product is not part of this line.

You could try Calm 'em Down (they also have a roller ball version) or Bee Happy (they also have a roller ball version) if you're looking for synergies that are safe for kids.

Smell, Use, and Viscosity
Due to the brown label, I thought it would be earthy. There are only three ingredients: sweet orange, ylang ylang, lemongrass.

  1. I like sweet orange. I makes me feel happy and takes the stress away, which is what it's supposed to do. It's also said to help with tension, stale air, and your immune system.
  2. They don't mention which ylang ylang they use. There is extra, I, II, III, and complete. I'm guessing that it's the complete version since that's the only version they sell. Ylang Ylang is like vetiver; you love it or you hate it. Sometimes I love it. And sometimes I hate it. It's supposed to smell sweet and be reminiscent of the tropics. It's also known as a aphrodisiac. topically, it can help your hair and skin stay moisturized.
  3. Lemongrass is nice. It smells like lemon to me except it's a bit more green. People say it's uplifting and deodorizing. Topically, it can help with circulation.

I like the smell of mine. I can smell the lemongrass and the ylang ylang. I can't really detect the orange, ironically, even though it's first. It's supposed to help with stress (I'm stressed a lot), tension, anxiety, and nervousness. It can bring clarity and confidence.

It's pretty thin so be careful not to use more than you planned on using.

Size, Price, and Packaging
I got a 10ml bottle and it is priced pretty fairly. The packaging is standard. It comes with an orifice reducer or Euro dropper. The oil is thin so it can come out quickly, but the orifice isn't too large that the oil just runs out. If you sign up on their website, you will automatically be enrolled in Aroma Notes, which is their loyalty program and can earn points towards future purchases.

One complaint I have about their packaging is that they don't have a label on the top of the oil. This means that you either have to buy their bottle cap stickers or make your own. They even say that it's frustrating to have to lift all the oils out and check the label on the side. I'm sorry, but I think this is slightly ridiculous. I know that $5 for stickers isn't that much, but if you only have a few oils it doesn't make sense, money-wise or material-wise. You'll just be throwing a lot of the stickers away, even though it's not that much, it's wasteful and think about how many other people do the same. I don't think it would cost them that much extra to stick a sticker on top. Plant Therapy's bottles all come with stickers and they have similar price points. I personally make my own stickers. They don't look pretty, but they do the job. Come on Edens Garden, help us out and just add a sticker on the top.

Would I Get This Again?
Yes, I love it! As I mentioned before, this is not safe for kids. You could try Calm 'em Down (they also have a roller ball version) or Bee Happy (they also have a roller ball version). Edens Garden offers FREE shipping on all orders. Be sure to sign up on their site since they have a rewards program called Aroma Notes. You can buy it here.

Safety
Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines. Click on the button that says "download dilution chart". Do not use undiluted. Patch test before using. Check the max dilution under the safety and shelf life section. If pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor's care, please contact your caregiver first. Do not use internally unless directed by a licensed aromatherapist or physician. Follow safe essential oil usage; not all people or pets should be exposed to essential oils. Citrus oils usually last for about a year or so. I keep all mine in the fridge. According to their site, the shelf life of this oil is 2 years and that might be due to the eucalyptus.
