MooGoo Eczema Cream (discontinued) Review

Eczema is just horrible, isn't it? I've been told it's due to a gut imbalance. My mom struggled with it for nearly 30 years before going on an elimination diet. It took two years, but she figured out what foods can set it off and it can be really specific foods. For example, if she eats one type of tomatoes, she's fine. But if she eats another, then she gets a flare-up. Nightshades, gluten, dairy, and eggs are supposed to be top irritants for eczema. She has very sensitive skin and needed to be able to use products that didn't cause her to have a bad reaction. She was diagnosed with allergies to a number of ingredients such as glues, dyes, and synthetic fragrances. As she got older, she decided to study plant medicine and create formulas for products that she could use without any issues. Launching her brand in 2012, she has had nothing but success. My Thoughts on Uncle Funky's Daughter

I found out about Uncle Funky's Daughter (UFD) through a Facebook group. I liked how they made recommendations for different hair types . Type 2 Wavy is Frizzy Gillespie, Type 3 Curly is Whole Lotta Body, and Type 4 Kinky is Well Put Together. I do feel, however, that the label for type 2 hair is negative while type 3 and 4 are positive. UFD was a husband and wife hair salon that later started making their own products. Unfortunately, they had a bitter divorce and the wife (Tonya Goff) tried to make a similar product (with the brand Hello Curly ) to the Curly Magic Curl Stimulator, but in the end, the husband (Ray Reed) won and still has one of their most famous products: UFDCM or Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic. Renee Morris acquired the brand in 2014 .  image source They offer sustainable hair care products. They claim to be chemical-free, which of course, they aren't, since everything is a chemical. Slightly chemophobic, but I just think most natural brands are...

Forces of Nature Wart Control Extreme Strength (discontinued) Review

My daughter had a plantar wart on the bottom of her foot. We tried freezing it off and that failed miserably. You were supposed to hold it on for 40 seconds and we got to about 2 seconds. Tried ACV (apple cider vinegar) and black tape. Neither worked. The good news was that since at the time she was only 4 years old, her wart wasn't that old either. A friend of mine had suggested looking into Forces of Nature. I checked out their website and decided that it was a bit too expensive, but he insisted that it worked amazingly and that I wouldn't need to buy more than one bottle. I finally caved and bought it. About Forces of Nature: On my page about Forces of Nature , you can read more about their company and read my product reviews. My Thoughts on Max Green Alchemy

I found out about Max Green Alchemy (MGA) through a Facebook group. I'd heard of other brands such as Innersense and Yarok and while they got amazing reviews, they were also slightly expensive for me to buy without getting them on sale. image source First of all, they offer $4 worth of free samples with the code SAMPLES and then they also offer 10% off your first order, no code required. Founded in 2004 , they were looking to create products that were environmentally clean and that actually worked. Even though they've been around for a while, they have a limited number of products, about 20 face, hair, and body products in total. They use quality ingredients and recyclable packaging.  They are slightly chemophobic but I think that just goes with the territory. They've won awards from the Green Stars Best Conditioner and the Proggy Award for Best Cruelty-Free Personal Care Product. I did ask about challenge testing and they do challenge tests on each batch. Par...

My Thoughts on Yarok

I had heard about Yarok and Innersense for a while and had never really looked into them because of the price. Now that I'm trying to buy better products, I've found out that as far as natural products go, there are plenty of brands that are more expensive than them. image source image source Yarok Hair Care was founded in 2009 by Mordechai Alvow. A hair stylist who is also a certified aromatherapist, he is committed to the planet and using plant derivatives in hair care. They are organic, wild-crafted, and ethically sourced . I feel like a lot of companies are jumping in on the natural, green, clean train but not doing it safely at all. His website is slightly chemophobic . Oh, the horrors, chemicals. Make sure not to breath O2 or drink H2O. You can't avoid chemicals. And while you can't totally avoid things like petroleum, unless you're living off the land away from the general population, I feel like people should be allowed to pick and choose...
