Oilogic Slumber & Sleep Essential Oil Lavender Blend Roll-on Review

I was looking for a way to get my daughter to sleep because she was suffering from colic. She would cry so much and then projectile vomit. My husband picked this up at our local store. I had started getting into essential oils and he said it was some weird, hippy thing that I would probably like, so he bought it. He bought it a few weeks after she was born. Some of Oilogic's products are safe for babies 3 months and up, but this one shouldn't be used until the baby is 6 months old. MooGoo Natural Sunscreen SPF 30 Review

You know when your parents come to you and go, "when I was young. . . " and you realise just how much things can change. My mom said that when she was young, they didn't have sunscreen so they just slathered themselves with baby oil to get tan. Shocking, isn't it? They didn't have seat belts in the backseat of cars either. Makes you wonder what our kids will think of our lifestyle, doesn't it? Skin cancer is obviously something you want to avoid and if you're going to go outside, even if it's not sunny, you should use sunscreen. The problem is that there's a lot of products out there that don't have the best ingredients. Many of my friend rave about Badger Balm. They kinda get all starry eyed as they say it. I'd never heard of it before. It looks pretty darn good though. But, I'm trying to be more environmentally conscious, which is hard when you order online since there's packaging and fuel emissions and the like. What I try to d

Florihana Organic Lemongrass Essential Oil Review

You know that starry eyed look that some people get when you mention that something is European ? When I hear that something comes from Europe, I figure I can't afford it. I had never heard of Florihana until I joined some non-MLM essential oil Facebook groups. Once I heard that they were from France and had been in business for a while, I didn't even both looking at their website. I figured their products would be way too expensive. Their name kept on popping up and people said they offered free FedEx shipping from France on orders $100 and up. Spending $100 at once on essential oils and hydrosols was out of my budget. My husband definitely thinks I'm weird, but my ways are rubbing off on him. He's so sweet and thoughtful. He came home one day ans said, "Look what I got! Baby lotion, just like the other stuff you use!" He knew that the baby's skin was drying out and that I'm super picky about what products I use. Appalachian Valley Natural Products Fractionated Coconut Oil Review

Unfortunately, coconut oil does not work well for my skin or body. I wish it did since it's so affordable. I still use it for roll-ons though. My hair is about to the middle of my back. MooGoo Irritable Skin Balm (Eczema & Psorias Cream with Marshmalllow, Elderberry & More) Review

Eczema is just horrible, isn't it? I've been told it's due to a gut imbalance. My mom struggled with it for nearly 30 years before going on an elimination diet. It took two years, but she figured out what foods can set it off and it can be really specific foods. For example, if she eats one type of tomatoes, she's fine. But if she eats another, then she gets a flare-up. My daughter has had a few eczema flare-ups in her life and now the baby is getting them too. I have tried a number of different eczema treatments . I was told that I should do elimination diets for them as well. However, when your kids spend about 10 hours a day in someone else's care because you work full-time, it's a little difficult to do. So for now, I'm simply putting a bandage on the situation and using lotions, potions, creams, salves, and balms when they get flare-ups. Luckily, they really aren't too bad. The baby might get a few spots and my daughter might get something the siz

My Thoughts on Oilogic

I first started dabbling in essential oils shortly before getting pregnant with my second child. My pregnancy and birth with her was vastly different than my first. She had colic (3 weeks of 3 hour 3 for more than 3 days a week) and on top of that she would projectile vomit. I'm not talking a bit of spit up that you can dab off with the corner of your shirt. I'm talking about having to get out the mop because she puked a distance of 2-3 feet. It was like connect the puke dots all over my house. We got to a point where we could tell if she was going to puke and would run to the bathroom and hold her over the sink but she would still sometimes hit the mirror. Slightly disconcerting to see a tiny newborn puke more than the length of their body a few times a week. After visiting multiple doctors and doing a number of tests, we found out that there was nothing wrong, that's just the way she was: pukey. I thought that maybe she was crying so much that she was puking and if I co

Appalachian Valley Natural Products Ginger Fresh Indonesia Essential Oil Review

I had been debating about getting ginger or not since I don't really like the food. It's a bit tangy and just overall not very pleasant to me. However, in order to get free shipping from AVAT, you need to spend $35, so I decided to get some oils that I was on the fence about. Shipping was going to be about $10. I'd rather pay to get stuff than pay for shipping.
