I got a few deep conditioners and I'm glad I tried this one. It's perfect for people with thinner hair or low density hair. I find th

MooGoo Moothwash Review

In an attempt to clean up the product I use, I need to figure out a safe alternative to mouthwash. I hate oil pulling. It's just gross. It's hard enough doing it for 1 minute, let alone 15 minutes. I really like MooGoo and saw that they had a healthy mouthwash and decided to get it the next time I ordered from them. Even better: no coconut oil! Appalachian Valley Natural Products Frosted Glass Bottle with Spray Cap Review

I had a decent collection of essential oils but didn't really know what to do with them. I knew that I wanted to start using them more than just diffusing them. I love perfume and rather than buy full bottles, would get a few samples from Lucky Scent each year. They'd last a long time and it allowed me to sample expensive perfumes at a fraction of the price. However, I knew that "fragrance" is a catch-all for thousands of different ingredients and you really didn't know what you were putting on your skin. In an effort to be healthier, I wanted to move away from perfume and create my own natural fragrances at home using essential oils, carrier oils, and perfumer's alcohol or Everclear alcohol. I had already made a few roller balls and wanted to create a spray fragrance. Make sure to follow proper dilution guidelines when you create your own products. My Thoughts on Tropical Traditions aka Healthy Traditions

I had never really heard of Tropical Traditions, but apparently they are pretty famous for their coconut oil. What drew me to them was the fact that they are an approved dealer for Florihana essential oils (you can email Florihana to confirm) and offer free shipping with orders of $39 or more. They also offer free shipping once a month (so stalk their FB page), with $20 being the minimum order. And. . . they'll offer you free ground shipping on your first order with the discount code of FS10. Disclaimer: Per FTC regulations, I am disclosing that I use affiliate links. Appalachian Valley Natural Products Lemongrass Oil Essential Oil Review

If you follow this blog, you'll know how much my daughter *loves* lemon. I've got one from an MLM, an organic one from Plant Therapy, one from Florihana, and one from AVAT. i also love lemon, but I'm kind of sick of it, plus I worry about sensitization . In an effort to appease my daughter with her love for lemon, I started to look for oils that would have a lemony smell, such as May Change (Litsea). Lemongrass seemed like a great option as well. MooGoo Protein Shot Review

My hair is about to the middle of my back. I have 2B, low-porosity, protein-sensitive hair. My hair is medium thickness and low density. I'm of European descent and I have dark virgin hair. I had heard raves reviews about this magical curl activator / leave-in conditioner from a handful of Curly Girl groups on Facebook. The fact that it is made with healthy ingredients made me want to try it despite the price tag. It seemed a little expensive, but I'm willing to pay (a bit) more for quality products from a reputable company. That had a sale going on at that time as well, so I decided to get this as well as some other things. Appalachian Valley Natural Products Organic Grapefruit White Essential Oil Review

Although my daughter had a favorite scent, I felt like I really didn't feel drawn to anything. We have a shampoo that's grapefruit scented and I absolutely love it. I've never really liked grapefruit. I know they're healthy and high in Vitamin C, but they seem so bitter and mouth-puckering to me. However, the shampoo really smelled amazing, so I decided to see if I liked the essential oil.
